The Hillsborough Fire Action Committee is made up of the Principal Officers and Executive Board members of the Hillsborough Fire Fighters. These individuals also serve as the screening committee for endorsement decisions. Candidate's seeking a political endorsement from the Hillsborough Fire Fighters take part in a comprehensive procedure.
The endorsement procedure is a multi-step process with each candidate. The process may involve seeking input and information from internal and external sources, a completed questionnaire, in-person interview with the candidate and thoughtful deliberation amongst the committee members. Once a completed questionnaire is submitted, select candidates seeking an endorsement may be requested to interview with the screening committee. The responses to the questions help us to make endorsement decisions and are used to highlight the difference between candidates to our PAC Committee.
INCUMBENT CANDIDATES WHO HAVE EARNED OUR ENDORSEMENT, KEEP IT.
It is a rare circumstance that we turn against those individuals who share our fundamental core position. This commitment to incumbents has been a hallmark standard since our beginning.
